How long is the waiting list for apartments?

At both Tabor Manor and Pleasant Manor, there is a waiting list for housing accommodation. Our waiting list is based on chronology. Our usual practice is that when a unit becomes available we honour that chronology by offering the unit to those whose names are at the top of the list. However, the Board of Directors also reserves the right to consider special needs from time to time as appropriate, and offer a unit to someone whose need is deemed to be acute, regardless of that person’s place on the chronological list.
Since the waiting lists for all apartments is quite long, you are encouraged to apply early.

How do I apply for Long Term Care?

The Niagara branch of the Community Care Access Centre coordinates all placement into long term care for the Niagara region. Therefore, you must apply to CCAC, rather than to Tabor Manor or Heritage Place (Pleasant Manor) directly. On your application form, you will be given space to identify which nursing home you prefer to be placed in, and you have the opportunity there to identify Tabor Manor or Heritage Place if you wish.
